Peter Benkendorf, founder of the Involvement Advocacy came in to the studio recently to discuss his plans to uplift the city of Dayton with the help of some immensely creative minds.

After living in Chicago for some time and finding that those who lived in the government housing projects had the same potential as those living in the throes of luxury, his dream was to find a way to connect the two and improve the relations beetween the two.

In this interview, we talk about Peter's first hand account of a single mother in the government projects of Cabrini Greens who pulls her way out of poverty and a Jewish mother in the Chicago Suburbs who surprisingly has some of the same problems and concerns of the single mother in the projects.  Listen as Peter tells of their triumphant story as well as his own to help people achieve their own dreams with the Involvement Advocacy.

The Women of Wisdom

WOW!

Recently, I had the pleasure of intervewing some extraordinary women.  The Women of Wisdom, a non-profit organization  founded to bring like minded young women ages 21 and up together to discuss everyday issues, were in the studio with me.  We talked about the many issues that women face while in high school, college and the professional workforce.

The Women of Wisdom proved to be quite an amazing group of women to interview.  All members are professionals in the many different industries of health, entrprenuership, philanthropy, and education.  One great moment was hearing about their work in the community with the Black Girls Rock program that they use to mentor and grow young girls ages 12-20.

This group of women truly shows how Dayton is a creative gem waiting to burst.

Design Talk

I recently did a short demo for those that wanted to know what my radio show is about.  Success Radio interviews successful people from different industries about what they do.  I interview business execs, authors, buisness owners and millionaires about their roads to success.  This was a segment I did with David Rice, CEO of OBD and E. Scott Morris from Nike.

side note: "Nike" is what the runner from the city of Marathon said after running to his homes capitol non stop to tell the results of the War. It means "Victory!"
